Integration via FTP

Integration Method: FTP 

FTP or file transfer protocol is not an integration method itself. The idea is to put a little automation into the product and offers creation and update. 

Tip: This method is only used for automating product and offer imports 

FTP operation does not allow to automate the order and customer care management. 

The first part is to setup your template: 

  1. Download the product and offers template in CSV or XML format from:  
     My Inventory > Import from file > Download an Excel template file 
  2. Populate the template without modifying the column headers 
  3. Store this file on your FTP server 
     Note: You must have an FTP server setup before trying to integrate with this method 

The second part is to configure the FTP settings in your seller portal: 

  1. In your seller portal, go to My Account > Settings 
  2. Click the Imports tab 
  3. Under FTP/HTTP product import settings, check “Activated” 
  4. Select the relevant protocol: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP or SFTP 
  5. Add in the hostname: {Babybunting production URL} 
  6. Add in the path where your file has been stored 
  7. Add in username and password if the file has been secured 
  8. Click Test the connector 
  9. If the test is successful, click save.
